GDT Pterygoid Bone Osteotomes are an essential set of tools designed to facilitate the precise implantation of Basal/Cortical implants, such as GDT MAX Implant. These osteotomes complete each other with different designs to ensure the specific stages of the Basal/Cortical implantation process.
The first osteotome, has a sharp tip and it's Ø2.0mm wide used to create the initial hole after the pilot drill. This critical step involves skillful insertion into the posterior region of the atrophic maxilla, navigating through the cortical bone until reaching the pterygoid bone.
The second osteotome, has a concave tip shape and it's Ø3.0mm wide, engineered to expand the implant socket efficiently following the use of the initial osteotome. Both osteotomes are made from high-grade stainless steel, ensuring durability and reliability throughout the procedure. Moreover, their inclusion of depth marks enhances precision and safety, guaranteeing a successful and accurate implantation process.
