DSI ApexPaste Calcium Hydroxide With Iodoform Paste is iodoform 40.4%, calcium hydroxide 30.3%, and silicone 22.4%. Apexpaste iodoform when extruded into furcal or apical areas, may diffuse away or be resorbed partially by macrophages. DSI ApexPaste has initially a bactericidal effect than a bacteriostatic, supports healing and repair, high pH stimulates fibroblasts, stops internal resorption, delivers bactericidal impact on carious dentine. DSI ApexPaste Calcium Hydroxide With Iodoform Paste has radiopaque, excellent bio-compatibility with no toxic effects on cells, and it's non-hardening paste with a silicone oil base. Ideal for infected root canals and vital pulpotomies in deciduous teeth.
